Millwright/Maintenance Technician
Southwest Waste Services is the fastest growing waste hauling, recycling, disposal, dumpster rental and aggregates sales. We’re looking for a dedicated Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair our rock crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
Position Overview: Are you a skilled Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on a variety of industrial machines.
- Installation: Install, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals.
- Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to maintain and modify equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to address equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and welding.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or apprenticeship in millwright or industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining equipment reliability.
